Snuggly Buggly!!

Hello, my name is Snuggly Buggly..yeah I know, I hate it too. As a matter of fact, at the exact moment that this picture was being taken, I was hearing my name for the first time. The Smith's had just brought me home as a present for their 5 year old daughter ,Sue. I was super duper excited to have a new family so I was being real loving and what not. Then the little brat informed everyone that she knew what she wanted to call me! The suspense was killing me, as you can imagine. Then WAM!!! She slapped me in the face with "Snuggly Buggly"! I was so upset, as you can see. From then on I tried like crazy to get my name changed..I even went a little psycho and bit her! But, obviously, she liked the name she picked..since I'm still stuck with it today!

Letter to me..

Hey!!
I know it's pretty weird that you're getting a letter..from yourself..from 13 years ago! But it's you really! Remember that time you ran away? But when you got to your grandma's house she wasn't home..and you had to turn around and go back home? Yeah it's so you! =]
I just want to remind you of some things you promised yourself you'd do.
First off, you swore you'd have your life together by the time you were 30. So I hope all that worked out. You wanted to be back home by then with a family of your own. I really hope you got that one done for me. That's my number 1 dream right now.
Right about now nothing seems to be going right, and I feel like it's gonna take a while to fix this mess. All I want is to stop, back up, and try it again. I really hope everything is better and makes more sense in the future.
Did I major in psychology? Did I meet my true love in college? How's Mom?
Please don't forget all the promises you've already broken to yourself, and try not to let it happen again.
Breaking promises is what everybody else does.

Coach Rhodes=]

My favorite memory of Coach Rhodes was my freshman year. I was in his geography class and I got this haircut that I hated. All day long I felt like people were just telling me it was cute to be nice, but when I got to Coach Rhodes class he noticed right away and told me how pretty it was. That was all it took to make my day. I knew he wouldn't say something like that unless he really meant it. We love you Coach Rhodes!!!!

Senior Song?

A senior song is supposed to be a special song that represents how you feel about your classmates and how you will feel when you won't be seeing them anymore. If we get stuck with a stupid song this year it's really just gonna ruin the whole thing. We don't need anything sad and depressing. You're supposed to get happy when you hear your class song. It's meant to help you remember those 13 awesome years that you spent with the same 80 people you met in kindergarten.

The Odd Friendship of Steve & Sally

Once upon a time..
There was a sad, lonely dragon named Steve. He was the only dragon in Texas. He was yellow with big purple polka dots, and he was really short for a dragon. He spent his days walking around the countryside and wondering why he was all alone. Meanwhile, all the way up in Montana there was a young dragon named Sally. She was pink with a little yellow spot right above her nose. At that moment she was in the middle of a hissy fit because Her parents told her that the whole family was moving to Texas! She didn't even know any dragons in Texas and she wouldn't have any friends!
A few weeks after Sally's family had moved into their tiny, 2 bedroom cave (which she had to share a room in!) she was finally ready to go out and explore her new home. It didn't take long to get bored because she quickly found out that there was nothing to look at there. She decided to go a little further just to see if there was any other dragons around. After about 2 hours of searching she got really tired, but she was too far from home and too exhausted to turn back. She went into a little opening by a lake, sat down, and soon fell asleep.
Steve was on his usual evening walk, because there was nothing else for him to do. The clearing by the lake happened to be one of his favorite places to rest and watch the sun go down. When he go there, to his surprise, he found Sally still sleeping. He looked around to see if there were any other dragons but he saw none. He went over to where she was sleeping and tapped her shoulder. She woke suddenly, terrified that he was going to hurt her. She calmed down when she saw how harmless he was. To Sally he looked like a toddler. He was only about 2 and 1/2 feet tall, much smaller than she was. When he told her that he had no family and that he had been alone here for years, she felt so bad and she decided to take him home with her.
Her parents were really nice dragons and they were happy to have a new family member. In the end, Sally found a new best friend and Steve was no longer the only dragon in Texas!

..H1N1..

When everyone first heard about the swine flu issue, I'm not gonna lie, I was supper freaked out. My first question was "How did people get this respiratory virus that is usually only seen in pigs?" That's pretty gross. Then, come to find out, its contagious and infected humans can give it to other humans. The CDC is saying that if you keep doing your regular hygiene routines the virus should just pass you by. Although its not known for sure yet, it is believed that the disease is passed around just like the regular flu or common cold. So basically, if someone coughs or sneezes on you...WASH IT OFF! Stay away from sick people and you should be safe. The stores are stocking up on disinfectants and hand sanitizers so go grab you a bottle of germ-x and some lysol wipes and wash you're nasty hands. I, personally, don't think its anything to worry too much about. If you keep your hands washed and take your vitamins you are most likely not going to catch the disease.

..Beowulf..

The Wrath of Grendel

Grendel sat in his swamp and listened to the joyful music, all the while checking his e-mail ,on his lap top, looking for his invite. When he didn't see it there, he became furious. He ran to Harot, pulled up 30 drunk warriors and crushed them in their sleep.

T
he Coming of Beowulf

Beowulf heard of this horrible monster that terrorizes Hrothgar's kingdom. He pulled out his GPS, got the directions, and was on his way to help. When he arrived the main guard had already known that he was coming via text message on his cell phone.

Grendel went into Herot ready for another buffet dinner. When he got there, to his surprise, was a room full of soldiers sleeping like babies. Beowulf and Grendel have their battle, and Beowulf claims Grendel's arm in the process.

My Future?

I honestly haven't put much thought into who or what I will be in the future. I know better than a lot of people that making plans isn't always the smartest choice. It's best just to live and take life as it comes to you. I know that I want a better life for myself and for the family that I hope to have one day. A better life than what I have now atleast. I love my mother and ,in my eyes, she is the strongest person in the world, but I won't do anything the way she did. She has taught me that you can't just sit back and believe that everything will be better tomorrow, because most times it won't be. Everything that I want out of life has come from how she was with me and my brother. I couldn't have asked for a better mom, just a better situation. Maybe I'll have a nice two story brick house with a little picket fence off in suburbia somewhere, or maybe I'll still be in Childress. Either way I won't be disappointed. Hopefully I'll meet a guy who has all his issues worked out and who is stable enough to have a family. I know it won't all be fun and there will probably be more bad days than good days, but that's normal, right? I'm pretty sure that I haven't met the person that I'll spend my life with, and I don't even know if I will any time soon. That takes time and I don't think very many people find it in high school. I hope to have all the same friends I have now because I love all of them and I need them to be who I am. I'm pretty sure I won't make it without them. My hopes for the future are still pretty vague but I still have time. I hope things workout for the best, and I'll work hard to get to where I need to be. But, no promises, no let downs.

"Who is packing your parachute?"

When I hear things like "who packed your parachute?" I automatically think of someone who has saved my butt on several occasions. My mom, my little brother Kyle, my mimi, Heather, Jessica, and Lacie have all been there to keep me from hitting the ground. I am dedicating this blog to Kyle. He has had to carry the burden of "packing my parachute" like almost everyday. I am constantly getting in some kind of trouble and Kyle either has to cover for me or stand up for me. He shares my punishment and is always there to listen. My mom always has to get on to both of us because he refuses to let me take any kind of scolding alone. He's the bestest little brother in the WHOLE world and I love him to death! One day ,when he actually stops being perfect, I will be more than happy to repay all the favors.

My expectations of being a senior

This year the main thing I expect is to graduate with my class and get out of this town. I want to have a good year and avoid as much drama as possible. The last three years have been nothing but drama and I don't want a repeat. I want to have a good year and have fun with my friends.
